Kayak Advanced Course II

Components of Advanced course F II:
Introduction Getting to know the equipment Subjective and objective dangers and their prevention Repetition of the basic strokes and the flat paddle support Catching eddies in moderately strong to heavy white water with use of the high paddle support The basics of boofen for safe paddling over steps Basics of play-boating Correct positioning of safety lines Perfecting the Eskimo roll in white water Learning how to use knots properly The course is run on the rivers Salza, Enns, Lassing and Rotmoosbach; the choice of section and river dependent on the instructor responsible, as well as the abilities of participants and the water level. The course is designed to increase in difficulty on a day-by-day basis, providing a gradual improvement in skills.

The Eskimo roll is absolutely essential for the F II course. Participants are expected to be capable of safe kayak handling in white water (to WW II).

Our kayak teachers are all state certified kayak instructors, enabling us to combine maximum safety, fun and learning.
